Dangerous for Children, Police Secure Hundreds of Firecrackers on Pesisir Barat Indonesia

Kupastuntas.co, West Coast - Following up on public complaints regarding the rise of firecracker sellers who are considered to be disturbing and endangering children, the Central Coastal Sector Police have conducted raids on a number of firecracker traders in the Pesisir Barat Lampung Province Indonesia.

The Head of the Pesisir Barat Resort Police AKBP Alsyahendra through the Head of the Pesisir Tengah Police Sector Kompol Zaini Dahlan said that during the Cempaka Krakatau 2023 Operation the search for firecracker traders was carried out yesterday Friday (24/03/2023) starting at 16:00 PM.

Based on the operation carried out, the police managed to secure hundreds of firecrackers of various types from a firecracker seller with the initials Y (35) who was peddling his wares in the jurisdiction of the Pesisir Tengah Police.

"The evidence that was secured was in the form of 600 chili firecrackers, 2 8-shot roman candle firecrackers, 2 10-shot roman candle firecrackers, 12 Happy flower brand firecrackers, 12 smoke balls brand firecrackers, 24 butterfly type firecrackers. and now we have secured it at the Central Coastal Sector Police Headquarters," said Zaini Dahlan when confirmed, Saturday (25/03/2023).

Zaini Dahlan said that the activities carried out were a form of commitment to service to the community, especially messages from superiors to work together with the community to protect and respect the holy month of Ramadan by not doing things that could interfere with the safety and comfort of worship.

"Because we don't want our brothers and sisters who are fasting to feel disturbed by their comfort and security, and so do our traders remind them not to sell firecrackers and liquor which can disturb public order," he stressed.

Previously, it was known that the people of Pasar Krui Village, Pesisir Tengah District complained that the sale of firecrackers was still rampant in the local area, this was considered disturbing and endangering the safety of children.

This was conveyed by Rusmani, a local resident at the Friday vent activity organized by the West Coast Police which was centered at the Fish Auction Place Kuala Stabas Pier, according to him it was necessary to control the firecracker traders.

"Because it is very disturbing and dangerous to children, we ask that the police be able to discipline the firecracker traders because entering the month of Ramadan, firecracker traders are currently increasing," said Rusmani, Friday (24/03/2023) yesterday. (*)
