Lampung Wins 24 Medals at the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad

Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Lampung Province contingent won a total of 24 medals at the National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN) at the national level for all levels of SD/MI, SMP/MTs, SMA/MA, Vocational School and GDPK in Jakarta on 10 - 24 September 2023.

Based on data on the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad medals from the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, which was accessed Tuesday 26 September 2023, the 24 medals won include 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 14 bronze medals.

In this way, Lampung Province was ranked ninth below North Sumatra which collected 13 medals including 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta was declared the overall champion of the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad by winning 43 medals, namely 16 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 13 bronze medals.

Head of the Lampung Province Education and Culture Service, Sulpakar congratulated the students who had made achievements at the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad.

“A feat of gold glitter. The Lampung Province National Student Sports Olympiad contingent was successful at the national level. They took home medals as proof of their excellence. "Thank God, they have made golden history at the 2023 National Student Sports Olympics in Jakarta," said Sulpakar.

Sulpakar explained that in the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad at SMA/MA level, the Lampung contingent won two gold, two silver and two bronze medals. The gold medal was won by Mayang Rigita Cahyaningrum, a student at SMAN 2 Bandar Lampung in the 50 M breaststroke swimming event. Then Hengki Tri Prasityo, a student at SMAN Padang Cermin in men's athletics (Pentathlon).

Meanwhile, silver medals were won by Eto'o Arsitiko Lody Ismail, a student at SMAN 2 Bandar Lampung in the 50 M breaststroke swimming branch and Salwa Naila Putri, a student at SMAN 1 Sumberejo in the women's pencak silat branch. Bronze medals were won by Ilyas Kristoper, a student at SMAN 2 Sekampung in the men's badminton branch and Ria Ramadhani, a student at SMAN 1 Sekampung Udik in the women's Karate branch (kumite +53 Kg).

Apart from that, Athlete Kushin Ryu M Karate-Do Indonesia (KKI) from Lampung Province, who is also a student, succeeded in getting an achievement at the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad.

This achievement was achieved by Nasywa Anandita, who succeeded in getting the Kumite Gold Medal -33 kg for Girls from SDN 1 Langkapura Bandar Lampung and M. Faddel Qaesar, Bronze Medal for Kumite +50 kg for Boys, SMP IT PB. IBS.

In his report, the acting (Plt.) Head of the National Achievement Center, Hendarman said that the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad had been attended by 1,573 students consisting of 376 Elementary School (SD)/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students, 317 Junior High School students ( SMP)/Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), 343 High School (SMA)/Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students, 305 Vocational High School (SMK) students, and 232 students with special needs (PDBK).

There are nine sports to be competed in at the 2023 National Student Sports Olympiad. For elementary/MI level, there are gymnastics, athletics, badminton, swimming, karate and pencak silat. For SMP/MTs, SMA/MA, and Vocational Schools, there are athletics, badminton, swimming, karate, and pencak silat. Meanwhile, for PDBK, there is chess, table tennis, bocce, athletics and badminton.

“The whole series of activities went well. "The participants enthusiastically showed their abilities, never gave up, tried to test themselves, and competed with sportsmanship and fair play," said Hendarman.

Hendarman also conveyed his highest appreciation to all parties who have supported the holding of the 2023 National Student Sports Olympics.

"We are also proud and grateful to the parents, teachers and school principals who were present to watch the various matches.
