Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - A total of 90 schools in Lampung Province are recorded as receiving School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds for School Achievement Performance from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

Secretary of the Education and Culture Office of Lampung Province, Tomy Efra Hendarta said, the schools that received the Achievement School Performance School Operational Assistance ranged from Elementary Schools, Junior High Schools, High Schools, Vocational High Schools to Special Schools.

"In 2023 the number of schools that will receive School Operational Assistance funds for School Performance and Achievement is 90 schools. And this is available at all levels of education, the number continues to increase every year," said Tomy, when questioned, Thursday 7 September 2023.

He detailed that the schools that received Operational Assistance for School Performance and Achievement Schools were in West Lampung district, 4 schools, South Lampung 6 schools, Central Lampung 9 schools.

"Then East Lampung 8 schools, North Lampung 3 schools, Mesuji 2 schools, Pesawaran 4 schools, West Coast 1 school, Pringsewu 9 schools," he continued.

Followed by Tanggamus 9 schools, Tulang Bawang 1 school, West Tulang Bawang 2 schools, Way Kanan 2 schools, Bandar Lampung 18 schools and Metro 12 schools.

"The amount of assistance provided differs depending on the point of achievement. Some are IDR 25 million, IDR 60 million, IDR 120 million to IDR 160 million," he explained.

According to him, schools that receive School Operational Assistance funds for Achievement School Performance are educational units that have received at least one award, medal or certificate of achievement at talent competitions at the provincial, national or international level.

"So the money given also goes directly from the central government to the schools that receive it. The National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) is conducting the assessment," he said.

Meanwhile, School Operational Assistance funds for Achievement School Performance can be used by educational units for activities that contribute to the institutionalization of a culture of achievement in schools.

Starting from carrying out the identification or assessment of student talents, training and developing talents and increasing the quality and quantity of coaching programs such as trainers, facilities and infrastructure.

"So the first condition for being able to receive the Achievement School Performance BOS is that you must receive regular School Operational Assistance. Then the school is not designated as implementing the Driving School Program and Center for Excellence Vocational School," he explained.

For your information, the School Operational Assistance program for Achievement School Performance has been implemented since 2021 and given to 207 high achieving schools, continuing in 2022 where it will be given to 205 schools.

In order to expand the benefits of the BOS Performance School Achievement Program, in 2023 a total of 2,731 schools will receive assistance.

School Operational Assistance for Achievement School Performance is given to schools that excel as a form of support and appreciation for the achievements they have achieved and to become influencers for other schools to excel. (*)
