Hundreds of Metro City Government Websites Ordered
Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Communication and Informatics Office of Metro City will control 121 websites belonging to all Work Units within the local City Government which are ineffective and useless.
This was emphasized by the Head of the Metro City Office of Communication and Informatics, Subehi. According to him, the plan to control hundreds of websites is an effort to provide integrated online application services.
"There are 121 applications spread across Metro City, both web-based and Android-based, and not all of them run optimally. So yesterday we initiated and made an application service integration trustee," he said, Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
According to him, the control was part of the Office of Communication and Informatics steps to avoid overlapping the use of applications from each Regional Apparatus Organization in Metro.
"What's the goal, don't let Regional Apparatus Organizations overlap, not very useful but made or even already exist but are made too. For example this Regional Apparatus Organization has already made it but they are making it again, now this is what we are managing," he said.
Subehi admitted that he had submitted the Mayor's Regulation file to the Lampung Provincial Government. After the Perwali has decided, his party can regulate the use of applications at Regional Apparatus Organizations with the recommendation of Office of Communication and Informatics.
"We have submitted this Perwali to the province for facilitation, so that it can be evaluated and it is hoped that later after being evaluated it can be determined by the guardian and we will implement it," he explained.
"So later it will be regulated there, Regional Apparatus Organizations that make applications must have recommendations from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics. The aim is so that we can see how far the application is used," he added.
This is also considered as a step by the Department to ensure that the use of the application can be utilized by the community. He hopes that by controlling the website, it can bring the benefits of an integrated application.
"Then make sure the application that is made meets the standards of security, application standards, and that will be assessed by the Ministry of Communication and Information. We hope that later these applications will be interconnected, for example the application we have, namely the PNS portal can be connected to BKD data, with BSSN "The goal is when the applications are connected to each other, they can support and benefit each other," he explained.
"Then those people don't memorize passwords or user IDs too much. So that's what we will put forward, one application can have many benefits. So you don't need many applications, but if you can, one application has many benefits so you don't have too many applications that make people and users are confused," he continued.
The Head of Office of Communication and Informatics will also summon all Regional Apparatus Organizations to conduct an inspection of the applications owned by the Satker.
"We are waiting for the rules first, the guardianship is already running and we hope it will be processed. We, Office of Communication and Informatics, will summon all OPD colleagues to examine their applications," he explained.
Subehi revealed that Office of Communication and Informatics has a role in efforts to bring integrated applications to Bumi Sai Wawai. If you find an application that is no longer useful, it will delete the website.
"Later we will see whether the application is still worth continuing or not, if it is no longer useful, just delete it from the list. But if it is still useful, we will maximize its benefits and combine them into one service so we can collaborate," he explained.
"So that is the role of the Ministry of Communication and Information in the sense that we can be the motor to connect several applications in the Regional Apparatus Organization," he stated. (*)
