A Group of Al Kautsar Students Had An Accident on the Lampung Toll Road, One Died

Toyota Hiace microbus vehicle with police number (Nopol) B-2873-TGW carrying a
group of Al Kautsar High School students in Bandar Lampung had an accident on
the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) KM 23 + 600 Line A, Pasuruan Village,
Penengahan District, South Lampung (Lamsel) Regency, on Sunday (9/7/23) at
05.18 AM.
The Toyota Hiace car crashed into a fuso truck
whose police number was unknown (fled). The accident resulted in one death,
three serious injuries and six minor injuries.

Sugeng Suhermanu, confirmed the incident. The accident was allegedly triggered
by a microbus driver named Imam Baihaqi who fell asleep while driving.
"It's true, the accident occurred at 05.18 WIB," said Sugeng, Sunday
(9/7).
Sugeng revealed that the accident started when
the Toyota Hiace minibus with police number B-2873-TGW was driving from
Bakauheni, South Lampung to Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung.
"Upon arriving at the scene, the microbus
driver crashed into a bus in front of him," he said. From the results of
the interim examination, it is suspected that the minibus driver fell asleep so
he could not control his vehicle.
"We are still carrying out in-depth
investigations regarding the incident. We have also carried out processing of
the crime scene," he explained.

Police, AKP Jonnifer Yolandra added, based on the testimony of witnesses and
TKP analysis, it was known that the Toyota Hiace minibus with police number
B-2873-TGW was traveling in the left lane or slow lane from the direction of Bakauheni
to Bandar Lampung.
Arriving at the scene, the driver of the
Toyota Hiace, IB (Imam Baihaqi), a resident of Bandung City, West Java,
allegedly did not notice the truck in front of him, which was also traveling in
a slow lane, causing the accident.
As a result, one of the passengers with the
initials EP (Elza Pratiwi), a student status resident of Teluk Betung, Bandar
Lampung, died at the scene of the incident due to serious head injuries.
"For victims, 1 died at the crime scene,
3 were seriously injured, and 6 were slightly injured," explained
Jonnifer. The victim with the initials KK (16), a resident of Kemiling, Bandar
Lampung, suffered a head injury and was taken to Bob Bazar Kalianda Hospital,
South Lampung. Then he was referred to Urip Sumoharjo Hospital, Bandar Lampung.
Furthermore, high school students with the
initials AA (16) from Kemiling and SMW (16) from Jalan Antasari, Bandar
Lampung, suffered serious head injuries and were taken to Bob Bazar Kalianda
Hospital, South Lampung.
"Then the lightly injured students RA
(16) from Kemiling, FA (16) from Sukabumi, D (16) from Kedaton, and RAA (13),
as well as teacher NP (28) from Way Kandis, Bandar Lampung, were given
treatment at the hospital. Bob Bazar Kalianda Hospital. Meanwhile, the Toyota
driver had bruises on his forehead and was not treated," he explained.
Jonnifer explained that most of the victims
were students of Al Kautsar High School, Bandar Lampung. However, the dead
passengers are general passengers.
"Yes, there were some from Al Kautsar,
but that was not the entire Al Kautsar group. That was general travel, the
victims who died were not from Al Kautsar," he explained. Until the news
was reported, Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung could not be contacted. (*)
