Family Tears Fall at the Funeral 4 Victims in the Tragedy of the Fall Az-Zahra Lift

victims who died as a result of the elevator tragedy falling at the Az-Zahra
School in Bandar Lampung Indonesia were buried in the Tanjung Jati Public
Cemetery (TPU), Olok Gading, Teluk Betung Barat District, Thursday (6/7/2023).
The 4 victims were residents of the Olok Gading
Village. The four are Slamet Saparudin (44), Asep Nursyamsi (39), Rahmatullah
(38), and Ahmad Burhan (39).
Sobs broke out accompanying the victim's
funeral. The mourners' faces looked full of sadness, occasionally heard
hysterical screams.
You can see each of the victim's wives and
children sitting listless and slumped by the side of the victim's grave.
The wife of one of Rahmatullah's victims, Lina
Wati, initially learned about the incident after being contacted by a relative
who was already at the Bumi Waras Hospital.
"He didn't say that my husband had died, he
was just told to go to the hospital. I went straight there," he said.
When she arrived at Bumi Waras Hospital, she saw
that her husband was dead with other colleagues.
"No one has come to the house yet. I hope
the Az-Zahra School will take responsibility," he said.
Then, condolences also came from the in-laws of
another victim, Asep, Sujai, who said that his son-in-law had shown signs of
leaving the family.
"Our child was the night before the
incident, around eleven o'clock washing dishes and glasses, which he didn't
usually do. He said if this glass plate would later be used for events at
home," he added.
Sujai explained that the victims Asep and
Rahmatullah were still related. Where the two are biological cousins.
"We hope the school is responsible because
this work has claimed lives," he concluded.
On the other hand, the Head of the Bandar
Lampung Police, Police Commissioner Ino Harianto, said that his party would
involve the Central Forensic Laboratory Team for the South Sumatra Regional
Police (Puslabfor Polda Sumsel) to reveal the details of the elevator tragedy
that crashed at the Az-Zahra School.
"Of course we involve the South Sumatra
Police Laboratory for this investigation," he said after giving
compensation to the victims' families in the Olok Gading State Village,
Thursday (6/7/2023).
He revealed that his party was still carrying
out investigations and examination of witnesses in the incident.
"We are still carrying out investigations,
at this time we continue to dig up the statements of witnesses," he added.
"Several witnesses including the chairman
of the foundation, there was a school principal and witnesses who saw after the
incident, we have examined all of this," he continued.
Previously, 9 construction workers became
victims when the Az-Zahra School elevator fell on Jalan Mayjend D.I Panjaitan,
Tanjung Karang Pusat District, Bandar Lampung, Wednesday (5/7/2023) around
16.30 WIB.
Of the 9 victims, 7 of them died and 2 others
were injured being treated at the Bumi Waras Hospital. (*)
