Twelve Motorcycle Gang Members Arrested by the Bandar Lampung Police
Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - Tanjung Karang Timur Sector Police, Lampung Regional Police arrested 12 motorcycle gang members who were in a convoy carrying sharp weapons around Jalan Gajah Mada, intersection of Jalan Arjuna, Sawah Lama Village, Tanjung Karang Timur District, Bandar Lampung, Saturday 3 June 2023 evening.
The members of the motorcycle gang allegedly wanted to fight while looking for opponents in a convoy carrying sharp weapons.
The 12 members of the motorcycle gang are MJ 16 years, MFI (18 years, AA 17 years, DP 17 years, NU 18), MR 15 years, SM 23 years, MR 16 years, MI 16 years, YZ 23 years, OS 20 years and JN 17 years.
"Of the 12 people arrested, 4 of them are still students," said Head of the East Tanjung Karang Sector Police, Commissioner Doni Ariyanto.
Doni explained that the 12 teenagers joined several motorcycle gangs, including the Lampung Motor Party Gang, West Youth, Scout Group and TKS (Kampung Sawah Team).
"So initially we received information that there was a motorcycle gang in a convoy and were carrying weapons looking for brawl opponents," he said.
His party immediately went to the location that was notified and succeeded in securing 12 teenagers along with evidence in the form of sharp weapon.
"Officers found 7 sharp weapon blades of various types which they suspected would be used for brawls," he added.
In addition to the 7 sharp weapon blades, the officers also secured 6 motorcycles and 9 cell phones belonging to the motorcycle gangs.
"The results of the examination, 2 teenagers, namely MR and DP, we detained them for possession of sharp weapons," he concluded. (*)
