Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion (Kakanwil Kemenag) of Lampung Province Puji Raharjo said that up to the deadline for paying the Hajj fees on May 12, 2023 at 15.00 pm, a total of 6,785 pilgrims had made payments and confirmed.

According to Puji, the quota for pilgrims for Lampung Province in 2023 is 7,990. This quota is filled by 6,975 non-reserves and 1,015 reserves.

"Until the final payment deadline, there are 190 quotas that have not been filled or 2.8 percent of the existing quota," explained Puji shortly after the closing of the payment deadline, Friday (12/5/2023).

This year, all of the reserve quota pilgrims who have paid off can be all absorbed and have the opportunity to go on pilgrimage in 2023. According to him, this is a fortune for reserve pilgrims and a very good opportunity to carry out this fifth pillar of Islam.

For the next stage, continued Praise, division of groups and implementation of Hajj rituals will be carried out. In addition, at this time the distribution of luggage has also begun for the pilgrims. "Currently we are also continuing to complete biometric visas," he added.

Regarding the departure, Puji explained that the first flight group from Lampung will depart on May 23, 2023. From the initial data, pilgrims from North Lampung Regency will become pilgrims in the first group as well as the ninth group nationally. These pilgrims will enter the Hajj hostel on May 22, 2023.

"We advise the congregation to be able to follow this preparation process well and also make physical and mental preparations. Hopefully all the processes can go through well and can become hajj mabrur and mabrurah," he hoped. (*)
