Regional Government in Lampung Requested to Allocate 40 Percent of the Budget for Infrastructure
Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) asked local governments (Pemda) in Lampung Province to allocate 40 percent of the budget in the regional expenditure budget (APBD) for infrastructure.
This was
stated by the Directorate General of Regional Financial Development of the
Ministry of Home Affairs, Agus Fatoni, after a meeting on the facilitation of
handling infrastructure in Lampung Province which took place at the Golden
Tulip Hotel, Thursday (4/5/2023).
"The presence of the team from the Ministry of Home Affairs to Lampung is at the direction of the Minister to provide facilitation and assistance in the framework of discussing infrastructure in Lampung. So today the Secretary of Regional Secretariat and also heads of related regional organization (OPDs) from both the Province and Regency/City gathered," said Fatoni.
He explained,
the purpose of the Ministry of Home Affairs was to discuss technically and then
collect data and unify steps so that further policies could be determined.
"Including
earlier in the budget changes for infrastructure needs. For infrastructure according
to the rules it must be 40 percent but gradually until 2027, so in 2027 it must
be 40 percent. But if it can be 40 percent this year, even better," he
continued.
Meanwhile,
Regional Secretary of Lampung Province, Fahrizal Darminto explained, currently
the budget allocation for infrastructure for the Lampung Provincial Government

"The infrastructure budget for the Lampung Provincial

irrigation, settlements and others. In the future we will add up to 40
percent," said Fahrizal. (*)
