Thousands of Motorcyclists Enter Lampung via the Bakauheni Port

Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - River, Lake and Ferry Transportation PT Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Bakauheni Branch released data on travelers who have landed in Lampung, it was recorded that 8,345 motorbike riders had paved at South Lampung on D-3 Eid 1444 H year 2023.

General Manager of PT. Bakauheni Branch of River, Lake and Crossing Transportation of Indonesia Ferry, Captain Rudi Sunarko through Public Relations Siafulail Maslul Harahap conveyed, this data is an accumulation from 18 April 2023 at 08.00 WIB to 19 April 2023 at 08.00 AM.

"For two-wheeled vehicles, there are 8,345 units departing from Merak and arriving at Bakauheni," said Saiful when confirmed, Wednesday 19 April 2023.

Saiful continued, travelers driving private cars recorded 13,282 units or more compared to the previous day at 10,650 units.

Coinciding with joint leave, from 19 to 25 April 2023, the number of pedestrians returning home has increased to 8,853 people, while last Tuesday, April 18, 2023 there were only 5,607 people.

"There were 571 units of buses crossing, which also increased compared to last Tuesday's 547 units," Saiful continued.

A different condition occurred for truck-type transport vehicles, which today actually dropped to 1,317, while on the previous day there were 2,557 units recorded.

"There are 44 ships operating, with a total of 123 trips," said Saiful.

Recapitulation of Eid transport data from Merak Port to Bakauheni Port as of April 12 to April 18 2023, a total of 23,397 motorbikes have arrived on Sumatra Island.

"The number of pedestrians is 31,261 people, four-wheeled vehicles are 54,275 units, bus fleet is 3,324 units, and truck-type transport vehicles are 21,041 units. There are 265 ships operating with 818 trips," Saiful explained.

In contrast, data from the Eid transport post on the first day of the joint leave, there were 29 ships operated or an increase of 32 percent compared to the same period last year, when only 22 ships departed from Bakauheni Port to Merak Port.

"With the number of trips 99, or an increase of 65 percent compared to the same period in 2022, namely 60 trips," said Saiful.

"The data for pedestrian passengers in 2023 is 1,710 people, an increase of 62 percent compared to the same period in 2022 at 1,057 people," said Saiful.

Then, an increase was also shown by travelers using motorbikes this year, there were 525 units, an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period last year, only 466 units.

"Private sedans or the like were recorded as having 6,027 units or an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period in 2022, namely 5,750 units. Meanwhile, there were 606 reported bus fleets, an increase of 7 percent compared to last year's 568 units," said Saiful. (*)
