5,481 Lampung Prisoners are Proposed to Peceive Eid Pemission

Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - A total of 5,481 convicts in Lampung are proposed to receive Eid remissions in 2023 and of these, 37 inmates will be immediately released because they will receive special remission II.

This has been proposed by the Lampung Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

The details of the 37 inmates who were immediately released were 6 prisoners from Class IIA Kalianda Prison, 1 prisoner from Class IIA Metro prison, 9 prisoners from Class II A Narcotics Correctional Institution Bandar Lampung, 1 prisoner from Class IIA Women's prison Bandar Lampung.

Then 1 prisoner from Class IIB Way Kanan Correctional Institution, 5 prisoners from Class III Gunung Sugih Prison, 8 prisoners from Class I Detention Center Bandar Lampung, 2 prisoners from Class IIB Detention Center Kota Agung, 3 prisoners from Class IIB Krui Detention Center and 1 prisoner from Class Detention Center IIB Kotabumi.

"Yes, that is the total that was proposed," said the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Lampung, Farid Junaedi, Wednesday 12 April 2023.

Meanwhile, the highest number of recipients of special remission I or indirectly free were in the Bandar Lampung Class IIA Narcotics Prison with 795 inmates, while at least there were Class II Child Special Development Institute Bandar Lampung with 71 inmates.

Corruption convicts at Technical implementation Unit Lapas/Rutan Regional office of the Ministry of law and human rights Lampung have 41 inmates who have received special remission I.

"The 41 corruption convicts who received remissions include 24 people in the Class I prison in Bandar Lampung, 2 in the Class IIA Kotabumi prison, 2 in the Class IIA Kalianda prison, 1 in the Class IIA Metro prison, 2 in the Class IIA Women's prison in Bandar Lampung, 1 in the Class IIB prison in Kota Agung, 7 in the Class I detention center in Bandar Lampung, 1 in the Class IIB Sukadana detention center, and 1 in the Class IIB detention center in Kotabumi," he explained.

The amount of remission obtained, ranging from 15 days to two months. Then there was 1 terrorism convict who received remission, namely at the Class I prison in Bandar Lampung.

"There are two conditions for convicts getting remission, namely substantive, such as having good behavior for at least the last 6 months and having served a minimum of 6 months in prison," he concluded. (*)
