Kupastuntas.co, Lampung Eglish - The perpetrators of the terror attack on residents of the Tejosari Village, East Metro District, have finally been revealed. The perpetrators, numbering two people, were recorded as junior high school students in Bumi Sai Wawai.

The two terrorists were arrested by the East Metro Police along with 9 other teenagers who were consuming liquor in the Tugu Bola area, Tejosari Village, East Metro District, Friday 17 March 2023 evening.

East Metro Police Chief, AKP JTH Sitompul, confirmed the arrest.

"Initially we carried out routine patrols in the East Metro District area. Then we found a group of children who were drunk on the side of the road near the Tejosari Ball Monument," he said, Sunday, March 19, 2023.

"After that we approached and we secured it to the East Metro Police for coaching. In total there were 11 teenagers aged 12 to 15 years. All of them were mostly junior high school students," he added.

The teenagers who were secured were dominated by residents of the East Metro District. For the teenagers, coaching is carried out before being returned to their parents.

"The average teenager lives in East Metro District. When the development was carried out, it was found that 2 of the 11 people arrested were teenagers who had gone viral to scare residents using a gun in East Metro some time ago," he explained.

"Then we carry out coaching and we return it to the parents for coaching at home and a commitment not to repeat their actions," he added.

The East Metro Police Chief said that the sharp weapons used by the 2 terror-spreading youths were obtained from online buying and selling shops. The police chief also revealed that the motive of the two terror-spreading teenagers was only to find identity.

"Scaring residents with sharp weapons because they are still looking for identity. The teenager admits that he got the sword from buying and selling online, some also make it themselves. Their motive is just for fun, so it's just scaring residents with it, not injuring anyone another," he said.

Previously, the residents of the Tejosari Village, East Metro District, were alarmed by the actions of two Unknown Persons riding motorbikes and brandishing machete-type weapons terrorizing the community.

The terror occurred on Tuesday 7 March 2023 around 10.00 PM at Jalan Selada RT 001 RW 002, Tejosari Village.

An eyewitness, 24-year-old Rian Darma, said the two perpetrators rode a red Honda Beat motorbike with a blue list. One of the perpetrators brandished a machete and wanted to injure people walking.

"So while we were hanging out on the terrace of the house, the youths here were walking. Then from the direction of Jalan Pakis a motorcycle was speeding while brandishing a machete, chasing after the teenagers who were walking. " said Ryan.

He added, when the incident took place residents who were in the house rushed out because they heard screams for help from a group of youths on the side of the road.

"There were about 9 people walking on foot. When they were about to be slashed, the youths screamed and immediately ran. Then the residents around the incident all left the house. Fortunately, no one got stabbed, last night there was an immediate commotion," he said.

The same thing happened to another resident, 24-year-old Dedi Setiawan, who said he did not recognize the perpetrators of the terror attack.

"None of the people know the perpetrators either, if the characteristics of the perpetrators are roughly still teenagers too, the children are probably still in high school. They use old red Beat motorbikes, all wear dark jackets, which bring the motorbike wearing a hat. The perpetrator fled to 24 innocent," he said.

Dedi admitted that such an incident had occurred twice in the Tejosari Village area. Now residents hope that the Metro Police Resort and the East Metro Police can reactivate night patrols to the neighborhood roads.

"As the residents say, this is the second incident. A month ago there was an incident like this too, there were no victims. The previous one was on a major road, on Jalan Raya Stadion," he explained.

"It seems that no residents have reported this to the police, but we hope that this incident will be followed up. We hope that the Metro Police and the Polsek routinely patrol the neighborhood streets. In the past, their patrols went deep but now the patrols have decreased," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Tejosari Village Head, Suwaji also confirmed the terror in his Kelurahan area. In fact, a month before the terrorist act in his area was carried out by a group of unknown youths carrying sharp weapons in the form of machetes.

"I went straight there but they had dispersed, not long after there was an Avanza car which was also carrying a group of people but they didn't get off. I immediately called the Police, then the Police arrived and finally, thank God, nothing happened. The Police said it was safe," he said.

Suwaji also appealed to the public to be more vigilant, especially when they see the perpetrators. Residents are asked to immediately contact the pamong and security officers.

"So these actions did take place but thank God there were no casualties. I appeal to residents, especially in Tejosari, to be vigilant, to be careful. If there are people who are suspected, don't approach them immediately, we anticipate that if necessary, report the supervisor so that Babinsa or Bhabinkamtibmas," he said.

The Lurah also hopes that the Police can increase patrols to neighborhood streets that are rarely crossed by police patrols. (*)
