Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - The Bandar Lampung City Government has budgeted IDR 300 million for the maintenance of road markings in 2023.

Road markings are traffic signs in the form of lines either in the middle or on the side of the road on the capital city of Lampung.

Head of the Bandar Lampung City Transportation Service, Socrat Pringgodanu said, road markings themselves are to help motorists stay on the required lane, which automatically reduces the possibility of accidents.

"In 2023 we will maintain road markings, which is budgeted for around Rp. 300 million," said Socrat Pringgodanu, Sunday, March 12, 2023.

According to him, this budget also looks at the original income of the Bandar Lampung area which has just recovered from Covid-19.

"So on the sidelines of the recently recovered Regional Expenditure Budget, we will continue to pay attention to road markings," he said.

The treatment itself is clear, that is, it is seen based on which volume is the most urgent and the emergency is prioritized.

"Early last year we started repairing it, especially on the protocol roads. We'll see again, if the protocol roads are new, we will also enter the environmental roads," explained Socrat.

Socrat admitted that the improvement of road markings on environmental roads was also considered important. However, his party will also see how dense the vehicle traffic is on the road in the neighborhood. (*)
