Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - There was a fatal accident involving a motorbike and a dump truck on Jalan Raya Natar Market to be precise, Wednesday 8 March 2023 at around 05.30 PM. As a result one person died.

When contacted by kupastuntas.co Wednesday evening, South Lampung Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Edwin confirmed the incident.

"I happened to be on patrol, then I saw a crowd, I stopped, what happened, it turned out there was an accident," replied the police chief.

Edwin continued, the accident involved a male motorbike rider.

"At first, the chronology, the motorbike tried to overtake another vehicle turned out to be immediately run over by a dump truck type car. One person died at the location, another victim was still alive, so we saved the living and were taken to the hospital. Then the victims who died, we also identified them and brought them to the Natar Medika hospital," continued the police chief.

The police chief added that after evacuating the victim, he and other personnel immediately made traffic arrangements.

"So, the police's actions don't just stop there, then we smooth out the traffic," he continued.

Regarding the identity of the victims, the Police Chief said that he was currently being treated and was still under the care of the hospital.

"Still in the hospital, the victim seems to be a Vocational School student," said Edwin.

In the video that Kupastuntas.co got, it shows one of the survivors whose identity is unknown being carried by the police chief getting into a white Toyota Innova Venturer car.

The victim in the light blue uniform, seemed to be still in pain after being the victim of an accident and was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.

"Follow one, the police will follow," said the voice of the chief of police in the video.

In a different video, the Kapolres also manages traffic with the help of 2 personnel in Traffic Unit uniforms and several residents to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

The police chief can be seen standing while directing traffic, not far from another accident victim who is thought to have died so as not to be hit by a passing motorist.

It seemed that the flow of traffic was a little stagnant, where cars and motorbikes slowed down to see the victim who was lying covered in newspapers. (*)
