Swallowing a Village Fund Budget of IDR 700 Million In Its Construction, Swimming Pool in Tanjung Rusian Village Pringsewu Was Not Taken Care Of
Kupastuntas.co, Pringsewu - Commission Three of the Pringsewu Regional People's Legislative Assembly highlighted the construction of the Pesona Russia Swimming Pool in Pekon TanjungRussia, Pardasuka District, Pringsewu Regency which was stalled.
This is because the construction of the swimming pool has spent a significant amount of budget, namely approximately 700 million, which was sourced from the Village Fund for 2020-2021.
"If the condition (of the swimming pool) is not taken care of and is in suspended animation, it means there is a problem. The Regional People's Legislative Council is also questioning how the plan for building a swimming pool has not been thoroughly studied," said Chairman of Commission Three of the Pringsewu DPRD, Sagang Nainggolan. Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
According to Sagang, every development program that uses a budget from the government must have benefits.
"This has been built and maintenance costs are budgeted, but swimming pools are in suspended animation, of course this is concerning," he said.
Inspector of the Pringsewu Inspectorate, Andi Purwanto, said that his party had conducted an investigation and examination.
However, during the inspection, his party experienced problems because the documents in the village were lost and the computer was damaged during a flood some time ago.
"If there is a budget ceiling, planning data is missing," said Andi.
Nevertheless, the Inspectorate has instructed village officials to use the swimming pool according to plan.
"The Village Office has promised to use the swimming pool, then we emphasize that maintenance should not be budgeted again," said Andi.
Based on monitoring at the location, the condition of the swimming pool is quite apprehensive and neglected. Some of the buildings look damaged, such as almost all 8 door toilets are broken, the floor beside the pool is peeling and then some of the huts are not taken care of, compounded by the dirty condition of the swimming pool water.
The head of the local RW, Saproni, admitted that it was very rare for visitors to come to the swimming pool.
"Previously there was a policy from the Pekon head who managed the swimming pool to be handed over to the residents. However, recently the management of the swimming pool will be taken over by the Pekon," said Saproni.
According to Saproni, the location of the swimming pool is 2 hectares of waqf land.
"There are two swimming pools, one measuring 7.20 x 16 meters, the other measuring 10 x 25 meters. It was done in two stages," he explained.
One of the local residents said that the swimming pool was busy when it was opened but lately there have been very few visitors.
"That swimming pool had gotten mossy and recently it was cleaned by the pekon," he said.
According to residents, the distance of the swimming pool from the main road is almost 2 KM then road access is also still inadequate. The head of the local Pekon, Wildan Firdaus, when confirmed via telephone, could not be connected, the mobile number in question was not active. (*)
