Corruption Garbage Retribution of IDR6.9 Billion, Former Head of the Bandar Lampung Indonesia Environment Agency Named a Suspect

Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - Former Head of the Bandar Lampung Environment Service Sahriwansyah (SH) and two staff have been named suspects in the garbage levy corruption case at the Bandar Lampung Environmental Service for the 2019-2021 Fiscal Year.

This was stated by the Assistant for Special Crimes at the Lampung Prosecutor's Office, Hutamrin during a press conference at the Lampung High Court, Monday (6/3/2023).

Hutamrin explained that his party had named three suspects in the corruption case and had found two sufficient pieces of evidence. Based on the results of the exposure and investigation it was concluded that there was a criminal act of corruption in the case.

"The three suspects named include SH as the ex Head of Environment Service Bandar Lampung 2019-2021, HF as the Head of Environmental Management, and HY as assistant treasurer of the recipient," said Hutamrin.

He revealed, after being named a suspect, his party would immediately issue a special investigation warrant. "Furthermore, we will carry out the investigation process as a suspect," he said.

Hutamrin explained, the modus operandi of the three suspects was by marking up and not depositing waste retribution money and there were also indications of fake garbage retribution tickets.

"The results of independent auditors have found a state loss of IDR 6,925,815,000. There are several parties who have returned state losses of IDR 586,750,000 so that the remaining state losses are IDR 6,339,065,000," he explained.

All three are charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) Jo Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st Criminal Code Jo Article 64 paragraph (1) Subsidiary Criminal Code Article 3 Jo Article 18 Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st Criminal Code Jo Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

"Just named suspects, the three have not been detained because they have not been examined as suspects," he concluded. (*)
