Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - The Lampung Police Ditreskrimum dismantled online prostitution via the Application WhatsApp application in Bandar Lampung. Wednesday 15 February 2023.

Head of Subdirectorate IV Renakta, AKBP Adi Sastri said, the perpetrator, namely a woman named Deni Buana Putri alias Dinut 29 years old, was arrested during a transaction at the Radisson Hotel in Bandar Lampung on Friday 10 February 2023 around 04.00 PM.

"The perpetrator was arrested when he was about to make a transaction with a member of Subdirectorate IV Renakta who was undercover by means of an undercover buy," he said.

Before carrying out the arrests and raids, he revealed that his party had conducted an investigation and reconnaissance.

"After it was confirmed that the perpetrators were indeed providing online prostitution services, members immediately carried out raids and arrested the perpetrators," he said.

The mode used by the perpetrators is to offer and send photos of women to customers to be selected via WA. Then, customers order according to photos and hotel rooms.

"The perpetrator gives a one-time rate of IDR 2.5 million. If agreed, the customer must first transfer a down payment of IDR 500 thousand. After that, the perpetrator delivers the woman ordered to the agreed address," he added.

From the price of IDR 2.5 million, the perpetrator as a pimp gets a share of IDR 1.5 million and the rest is given to the trafficked woman.

"The results of the examination, the perpetrator has repeatedly committed online prostitution," he said.

The evidence secured during the raid included 1 gray iPhone 12 Pro MAX, 1 white iPhone 11, 1 black VIVO V21 HP, 40 IDR 100,000 notes, 2 proof of payment for ordering commercial sex services, and 2 pieces of proof of hotel room reservation.

For his actions, the perpetrator is subject to Article 2 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons with a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and a maximum fine of IDR 600 million.

Then Article 12 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Crimes of Sexual Violence carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and a maximum fine of IDR 1 billion. (*)
