The Public Prosecutor Presents Six Witnesses in the University of Lampung New Student Admissions Bribery Trial

Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - The Public Prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission presented as many as six witnesses in the evidentiary trial of three defendants in bribery for accepting new students at the independent university of Lampung in 2022 at the Tanjung Karang Tipikor District Court on Tuesday 17 January 2023.

The three defendants include the inactive Chancellor of the Lampung University Prof. Karomani, the inactive Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs of the Lampung University Heryandi and the Chairman of the Lampung University Senate inactive Muhammad Basri.

The witnesses presented included the Deputy Chancellor for two for Finance at the University of Lampung Prof. Asep Sukohar, Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni at the University of Lampung Prof. Yulianto, Deputy Chancellor for four for Planning, Cooperation and ICT at the University of Lampung Prof. Suharso, Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lampung. Rasmi Zakiah Oktarlina and two parents of students entrusted by Zuchrady and Sofia.

In this trial, the trial was held slightly different from last week, where the trial was held jointly and presided over directly by five panels of judges chaired by Lingga Setiawan who is the Head of the Tanjung Karang Tipikor District Court. Last week, trials were held separately for the three defendants.

Then he was accompanied by four other members of the panel of judges, namely, Deputy Head of the Tanjung karang Corruption Court, Achmad Rifai, Efianto D, Edi Purbanus, and Aria Verronica.

Previously, the three defendants were present at the Tanjung Karang Corruption Court at around 10.00 WIB. The trial was postponed for about two hours, because the panel of judges had not yet come to the courtroom.

When he arrived at the Tanjung Karang District Court, the defendant Karomani asked journalists to produce balanced news in accordance with the journalistic code of ethics.
