Kupastuntas.co, Pringsewu - The Pringsewu Police Narcotics Research Unit arrested 59 year old HM on Friday 13 January 2023, for allegedly distributing hundreds of Hexymer drug items.

HM was arrested at his house in Pekon Sidoharjo, Pringsewu Regency at around 17.00 WIB. From HM, who works as an ice cube seller, officers confiscated 15 plastic clips containing 149 items ready for distribution, 120,000 rupiah in cash, and the suspect's wallet where the banned pills were kept.

"After carrying out the inspection process and being named a suspect, we are now holding HM at the Pringsewu Police Headquarters," said Head of Narcotics Unit Iptu Yudi Raymond representing Pringsewu Police Chief AKBP Rio Cahyowidi Saturday 14 January 2023.

The disclosure of this case began with reports from the public who were worried about the rampant distribution of illegal drugs in their area, which was allegedly carried out by the suspect HM.

"Based on community reports and the results of investigations conducted by the police, the suspect HM is strongly suspected of being involved in the case and then we immediately secured him," he continued.

Before the police, the suspect HM admitted to having been in the business of buying and selling illegal drugs for the last 5 months.

"The suspect's confession was that he bought the methamphetamine from someone he didn't know and then distributed it in the Pringsewu area targeting teenagers to adults," he said.

To account for his actions, the suspect is charged with Article 196 in conjunction with Article 98 paragraphs (2) and (3) and/or Article 197 in conjunction with Article 106 paragraph (1) of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health.

"The suspect is threatened with imprisonment for a maximum of 15 years and a maximum fine of 1.5 billion rupiah," he concluded. (*)
