Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Lampung Province Environmental Service (DLH) said that the results of air quality tests in a number of areas in Lampung some time ago showed that air quality was still below the established quality standards.

Head of DLH Lampung Province, Emilia Kusumawati, said that air quality tests by the DLH team were carried out in Bandar Lampung City, South Lampung Regency, East Lampung, Central Lampung, Way Kanan and Pesawaran.

"The team has gone to the field and the results are good, still below the quality standard. It's still good, even from medium to medium condition means it's still below the quality standard," said Emilia, when asked for information at the Lampung Provincial Government office, Monday 11 September 2023.

He explained that the quality standards depend on the parameters. "For example, in Bandar Lampung NO2 the quality standard is 200 but we are still 2 point, then 03 the quality standard is 150 but we are still 5.3," he explained.

However, Emilia said that the results of the size test for dust particulates would be out in the next five days.

"It will be five days before the size of the dust particulates from the laboratory will come out, but the results from the team that came directly to the field are already good, still below the quality standard. But if you look at the conditions, they are not too far from the results directly in the field," he said.

Emilia said that for Bandar Lampung, the areas where air quality tests were carried out included dense transportation areas such as main roads with heavy traffic, precisely in the courtyard of the Regional Museum and also industrial areas on Jalan Ir. Sutami.

"Then air quality tests were also carried out in densely populated residential areas such as the Bumi Arinda Permai Housing Complex and at the Lampung Province Environmental Laboratory UPTD Office," he said.

Furthermore, in Pesawaran, air quality tests were carried out in transportation-dense areas, including main roads with heavy traffic, such as Jejama Sidototo Park or the industrial area of the PTPN office.

"Then in densely populated residential areas, air quality tests were also carried out at the Pesawaran Regency regional government office because there was a lot of activity there," he said.

Furthermore, in South Lampung, air quality tests were carried out in transportation-dense areas including the Kalianda causeway towards Bakauheni and the Tanjung Bintang industrial area.

"Then air quality tests were also carried out in densely populated residential areas, namely in Jati Agung, South Lampung and offices, specifically at the South Lampung Regency Regional Government Office," he said again.

Then in East Lampung laboratory tests were carried out in dense transportation areas which included main roads with heavy traffic, precisely on the east coast highway, Terbanggi Marga.

"Furthermore, in areas or industrial areas around offices, densely populated residential areas in Banjar Agung and also at the East Lampung Regency Regional Government Office," he explained.

Meanwhile, for Central Lampung, air quality tests were carried out in transportation-dense areas including the main roads of Yukum, Terbanggi Besar.

"Then areas or industrial areas in Bumi Ratu Nuban, densely populated settlements in Terbanggi Besar District, Central Lampung and in Central Lampung Regional Government Offices," he explained.

In Way Kanan, air quality tests were carried out in transportation-dense areas which include the main road with heavy traffic, namely the Mount Labuan Rest Area.

"Then in areas or industrial areas, to be precise in Way Tuba and in densely populated residential areas, to be precise in Gunung Labuan District and the Way Kanan Regional Government Office," he said. (*)
