Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Bandar Lampung City Government through the Environmental Service (DLH) has budgeted IDR 7.5 billion in the 2023 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget for the procurement of 16 waste transport fleets.

Head of the Bandar Lampung City Environmental Service, Budiman P Mega, said that the Bandar Lampung City Government will replace dozens of damaged trash cars. For this reason, his party has budgeted IDR 7.5 billion.

"The additional fleet in the 2023 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget is IDR 7.5 billion for the procurement of 1 dump truck, 8 amrol trucks and 7 pick up trucks," he explained, Thursday 7 September 2023.

Budiman said that in the process of procuring the waste carrier fleet, his party is currently waiting.

"Last year it was the end of the year. For this year, let's wait," he said.

He admitted that currently the Bandar Lampung City Government has 103 waste transport fleets including dump trucks, pick ups and also wastewater trucks.

However, some of this number experienced various types of damage, ranging from light damage to heavy damage.

"Of the 103 fleets that we have, perhaps only 50 percent are still good, half of them are starting to break down," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, confirmed that the Bandar Lampung City Government will increase its waste transport fleet.

According to him, the addition was made because he saw that a number of fleets from the Bandar Lampung Environmental Service had started to break down and were unfit for operation. "We will soon add garbage trucks," said Eva.

Eva said, in one day, Bandar Lampung residents produce up to 800 tons of waste that goes to the Bakung Final Disposal Site.

The rubbish is transported from various waste disposal sites throughout Bandar Lampung City. One garbage truck can carry 8 tons of rubbish.

Previously, the City Government of Bandar Lampung received assistance from a cleaning fleet in the form of two units of garbage trucks and one unit of a fecal tank truck from PT Bukit Asam, through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

The Mayor of Bandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, received the vehicle directly in front of the local municipal government's One-Stop Service Mall Office, some time ago.

"Thank you for giving us CSR. Never get tired of helping us, because if you don't get help, you can't do anything. But if you get help, you have a lot of power," said Eva.

Eva hopes that the assistance provided by PT Bukit Asam in the future will be more than today. He hopes that with this assistance, Bandar Lampung will be cleaner from rubbish.

Eva invited PT Bukit Asam to collaborate with the Bandar Lampung City Government in managing the company's waste.

"In this case, briquettes are made, so we can collaborate with Bumi Waras and the Bandar Lampung City Government," he said. (*)
