Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - Three terrorist convicts (Napiters) pledged allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) at Class I Lapas Bandar Lampung, Thursday (10/8).

The three convicts are residents of Makassar, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) namely Muhammad Nurhaliq, Muhammad Sulfikar and Andi Arianto, who were previously affiliated with Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD).

The Head of the Legal Services Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Lampung, Alpius Sarumaha said that the pledge of allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia was the first step so that they could be better in the future. So that when you are free, you can mingle and be accepted in the community.

"With this pledge of allegiance, the three convicts are ready to rid themselves of all acts and activities of terrorism. This will also enlighten the people around them and help the government to inhibit the process of spreading radical views," said Alpius, Thursday (10/8).

Alpius revealed that currently there are 4 prison convicts in the Bandar Lampung Class 1 prison where only 3 are willing to pledge allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Head of Class I Bandar Lampung Head, Maizar said that his party continues to approach convicts through fellow detainees. And slowly the convicts wanted to mingle and were invited to return to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"There is one more convict who is still in the process of being loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Hopefully in the near future he will pledge allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as well as his friends," said Maizar.

Previously, the East Jakarta District Court sentenced convict Muhammad Nur Kholid to 3 years in prison, Muhammad Zulfikar was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison, and Adi Aryanto was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Muhammad Zulfikar, a convict who was a former JAD member, told the story of how he fell into the terrorist network. He was caught by Densus 88 and the South Sulawesi Regional Police in 2021.

Zulfikar said that he was originally a member of a mass organization which has now been officially disbanded by the government. In that mass organization, he slowly began to be infiltrated by understanding of ISIS and JAD. "Yes, of course we are instilled with an understanding to hate the government," he said after making the pledge of allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

At that time, this man who worked as a technician became a member of JAD. When he officially became a member of JAD, Zulfikar admitted that he was invited to move to Syria or Syria at that time.

"Our intention is actually to move to Syria. We have never done Amaliah in Indonesia. Hijrah or moving to Syria is a special mission and an order," he said.

However, before they could leave for Syria, Zulfikar and 21 JAD members were ambushed by the Special Detachment 88 of the National Police and the South Sulawesi Regional Police. In that ambush, his brother became a victim and died during the arrest. (*)
