Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Central Executive Board of the United Development Party officially nominated Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate at the 2024 general election democracy party, the submission took place in Sleman Yogyakartarta, which can be accessed via the PetigaTV Youtube account, Wednesday 26 April 2023.

The chairman of the United Development Party, Mardiono, said that the decision was the result of the 5th national leadership meeting of the United Development Party, taking into account the various advantages and disadvantages.

"By saying Bimsmillah, the United Development Party has decided on Mr. Gajar Pranowo as a candidate for president of the Republic of Indonesia in the upcoming 2024 elections," said Mardiono.

This decision was taken with various considerations from the United Development Party, including wanting to continue political support for Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024-2029 Presidential nomination.

"Similar support was provided by the United Development Party for the 2018 Central Java Regional Head Election, the United Development Party has led him to become Governor of Central Java in pairs with the United Development Party Cadre Taj Yasin Maimoen," he said.

He continued, the United Development Party wanted to entrust the politics of good deeds and nahi mungkar to Ganjar to be implemented in government politics in the future.

"Hopefully Indonesia, which is coveted by the Ummah and the founders of this nation, can dynamically manifest people who are physically and mentally strong," he added.

The United Development Party also views Ganjar's capacity, capability and integrity as highly deserving of the position of national leader, not only because of his popularity and electability as a politician which has been proven by various survey institutions.

Apart from that, historically Ganjar also has a close relationship with the United Development Party with his in-laws who are the cadres of the United Development Party.

The United Development Party also said Mariono, would try to push the United Development Party cadres to be paired with Ganjar Pranowo to become Vice President.

With the addition of the United Development Party, four political parties have officially nominated Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election, including the Indonesian Solidarity Party which is the party that first announced Ganjar as a presidential candidate. The Indonesian Solidarity Party has nominated Ganjar since 2022.

This was conveyed by the Indonesian Solidarity Party after conducting a People's Consultation poll. In October 2022, the Indonesian Solidarity Party announced that it would nominate Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential or presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election and Yenni Wahid as vice presidential candidate.

Then the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, as the political party where Ganjar Pranowo belongs, finally announced the governor of Central Java as a presidential candidate. This announcement was made by the Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Megawati Soekarnoputri at the Batutulis Palace, Bogor.

Then the Hanura Party officially announced its support for Ganjar to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
