Deadly Accident in Pringsewu Lampung Indonesia, 2 Truck Passengers Killed
Kupastuntas.co, Pringsewu – There was a fatal
accident involving a truck with police number BE 8072 IX on the Lintas Barat
(Jalinbar) road in Wates Village, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency Friday
(14/04/2023) around 00.15 in the morning, resulting in two lives fly.
Previously, the ill-fated truck was allegedly
traveling from Bandar Lampung to Pringsewu at high speed. And when passing at
the scene of the crime (turning road) the vehicle kept going straight so that
it left the road body and hit the wall of the fence of a resident's house.
As a result of this incident, two truck
passengers died at the scene, while the truck driver suffered minor injuries
and was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.
When confirmed, Head of the Traffic Unit
(Kasat Lalu) AKP Khoirul Bahri said the accident occurred on Friday (14/04) in
the early morning at around 00.15 in the morning. "The truck was driven by
Sukidi (49), a resident of Sriway Langsep Village, Kalirejo, Central
Lampung," said Kasat.
While the two passengers who died were named
Aprianto (46), a resident of Waluyojati Village, Pringsewu District, and
Haryono (40), a resident of Ambarawa Village, Ambarawa District, Pringsewu
District.
"So when they crossed the TKP, where the
road conditions turned sharply, the truck actually drove straight, so it left
the road and hit the fence of a resident's house," he added.
As a result of the incident the truck was
heavily damaged on the front and left side while the wall of the house that was
hit was also seen to be destroyed.
According to the Kasat, the evacuation process
ran dramatically and took about 1.5 hours. "To remove the two victims, we
had to use a heavy vehicle. Apart from that, the victim's deplorable condition
was also difficult to remove because the body of the vehicle was
squeezed," he added.
Kasat added, apart from the loss of life and
injuries, the accident also resulted in material losses of up to 15 million
rupiah.
"The accident occurred allegedly due to
the negligence of the driver who forced himself to drive when his body was
tired and sleepy, and he admitted this," he concluded. (*)
