Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Lampung Regional Police sent a sniper team to secure the 2023 Eid homecoming in a number of vulnerable points.

Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Zahwani Pandra Arsyad said sniper teams would be alerted at several crime-prone points in Lampung.

"This is to ensure that travelers in Lampung feel safe and comfortable. A sniper team will also be stationed in crowded locations," said Pandra, Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

Pandra revealed, starting April 19 2023, 83 posts will be established by the Lampung Regional Police consisting of one integrated post at Bakauheni Port, 61 security posts, the rest are service posts.

"Later on we will also escort travelers to their destination and carry it out in a relay with the 308 anti-bandit special team, the Traffic Directorate and the Mobile Brigade Unit," he said.

He also appealed to people who are going home to anticipate and be aware of criminals, especially in public places.

Then, as many as 4,664 joint personnel will be deployed to secure the 2023 Eid homecoming in Lampung.

The thousands of personnel consist of the National Police, Indonesian national army, Transportation Agency, Health Office, civil service police units, Jasa Raharja, Firefighter, Indonesian Red Cross, Scouts, National Search and Rescue Agency, Regional Disaster Management Agency, Angkasa Pura and a number of other agencies.

The personnel will be deployed during Operation Ketupat Krakatau which will take place from 19 April to 2 May 2023.

In addition, thousands of vehicles ranging from motorbikes to helicopters will be deployed to secure the 2023 Eid homecoming. (*)
