Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Tourism and Creative Economy Office of Lampung Province predicts that the number of tourists visiting tourist destinations in Lampung during this year's Eid holiday will reach 3 million people.

"The prediction for this Eid shows that there are between 2 and 3 million people visiting Lampung. We are asking PT River, Lake and Crossing Transportation for predictions of people who will make the crossing and maybe if the crossing can be more," said the Head of the Service Lampung Province Tourism and Creative Economy, Bobby Irawan, when questioned, Sunday 9 April 2023.

Bobby explained, several tourist destination locations that are most preferred by tourists both from within the region and outside the region are beach tourism around Pesawaran Regency and also South Lampung.

"The main tourist destinations that are most popular during holidays, such as Eid, are beaches in Pesawaran, such as in the Teluk Pandan, Ketapang, Mutun, Sari Ringgung areas, then several beaches in South Lampung," he explained.

He explained, to welcome this Eid holiday his party had held a coordination meeting with the Regency/City Tourism Office to anticipate and ensure that this holiday could run smoothly.

"We have held meetings with the Regency/City regarding the readiness of tourist destinations. We ask especially for destinations that are always full of visitors to comply with the applicable rules and regulations," he said.

Where the management of tourist attractions is asked to ensure the security, safety and comfort of visiting tourists so that tourists who come will give a good image for Lampung Province.

"We emphasize to prioritize the security and safety and comfort of visitors. Starting from the cleanliness of tourist attractions to the affordability of prices. Don't just because it's crowded then prices are increased," he said.

Bobby also revealed that his party would cooperate with the police to ensure that tourist attractions that are busy being visited do not cause traffic jams which could be detrimental to all parties.

"The region must also arrange to prevent things that are detrimental, such as long traffic jams. And what is anticipated is Pesawaran because the location of the road is narrow while for South Lampung this has been helped by the toll road," he said. (*)
