Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs Encourages Regional Governments in Lampung to Accelerate Regional Spending
Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - The Ministry of Home
Affairs (Kemendagri) encourages local governments, both provinces and
districts/cities in Lampung to accelerate the regional spending process.
Supervisor for Regional Government Affairs (PPUPD) Main
Expert Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs Azwan, explained that
accelerating regional spending using the regional expenditure budget (APBD) is
one of the efforts to increase economic growth.
"The president always reminds us to accelerate budget
absorption. But don't just spend on personnel but also expenditures that
directly target the community," he said when giving a statement, Wednesday
(5/4/2023).
He said that the regional government's budget spending for
the second quarter had reached 50 percent and for the third quarter it had
reached 75 percent.
"This is so that the economy can continue to rotate and
continue to grow. Do not spend later in the remainder of the new fiscal year
for fear that it will not run optimally," he said.
He also explained that the Ministry of Home Affairs
continues to supervise so that spending by regional governments goes according
to plans and provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.
"Supervision carried out by the Ministry of Home
Affairs is administrative in nature, that is, if there is no loss to the state,
but if there are indications of criminal acts of corruption, APH will follow up
in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations," he said.
Meanwhile, the Inspector of Lampung Province, Fredy, said
that the administration of government is guided by legal certainty, orderly
administration of the state, public interest, openness, proportionality,
professionalism, accountability, efficiency, effectiveness and fairness.
"Currently there is also a Memorandum of Understanding
or MOU between the local government, the prosecutor's office and the police.
This is to ensure the success of the development program which is our shared
hope and responsibility," he said.
He said the implementation of the Memorandum of
Understanding was very important by not setting aside procedures in seeking
truth and justice in a case, synergy, coordination and collaboration were
keywords in the implementation of the duties and functions of each party.
"So everything can run according to the applicable
regulations and there will also be supervision that will be carried out by APIP
and APH," he said. (*)
