3.8 Million People are Predicted to Pass through Lampung Indonesia During the Lebaran Homecoming Period

Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - The Lampung Province Transportation Service (Dishub) noted that as many as 123.28 million people in Indonesia will go home for Eid and 3,837,800 or 3.8 million of them will cross Lampung Province.

The Head of the Lampung Province Transportation Agency, Bambang Sumbogo, explained that the mode of transportation most widely used by the public is the car, with a percentage reaching 22.07 percent nationally.

"For predictions of an increase in Eid transportation per mode of transportation itself, including the transportation of people in 2022, namely as many as 15,887 passengers and predictions for an increase of 5 percent in 2023 or to 16,681 passengers," he said during a coordination meeting at the Mahan Agung Governor's Office in Lampung, Monday (3/4) /2023).

Bambang explained that to serve the travelers, 376 inter-provincial inter-city transport fleets (AKDP) had been prepared with a capacity of 12,612 passengers, 24 pioneer units with a capacity of 579 passengers.

Then the Inter-City Inter-Provincial (AKAP) fleet of 86 units with a passenger capacity of 13,401 seats. In addition, agglomeration reserves of 20 units with a capacity of 600 passengers are also provided.

"For rail transportation in 2022, as many as 47,600 passengers are realized and predictions will increase by 38 percent or 65,607 passengers. The available capacity is 57,112 seats and if it is not sufficient there will be additional carriages," he explained.

Furthermore, for crossing transportation in 2022, 1,124,756 passengers have been realized and it is predicted to increase by 3 percent or 1,158,499 passengers.

Then for vehicles realized in 2022 there will be 242,662 vehicles and this year it is predicted to increase to 249,942 vehicles. As for the available passenger capacity of 2,112,000 people and a vehicle capacity of 400,686 vehicles.

"For the readiness of the crossing fleet itself, there are 56 regular ships and 6 executives. This will later be added to the Ciwandan - Bakauheni and Ciwandan - Panjang routes," he explained. (*)
