Police Raid Domino Gambling in South Lampung, Indonesia

Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - Tekab 308 Precision of the South Lampung Police raided a domino card type gambling location in Purwotani Village, Jati Agung District and managed to confiscate IDR 5.3 million in cash from the hands of the perpetrators.

The head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the South Lampung Police, AKP Hendra Saputra, explained that the arrest took place on Saturday morning, April 1, 2023, around 01.00 AM.

"During the raid, officers arrested 4 perpetrators, namely Sutrisno 40 years old, Sujarno 45 years old, Jamaludin 51 years old and Surono 31 years old," he said representing the Head of the South Lampung Police AKBP Edwin, when confirmed, Saturday 1 April 2023 evening.

Hendra then recounted the initial chronology until the arrest of the perpetrators, where last Friday March 31 2023 at around 10.00 PM, Tekab 308 Presisi South Lampung Police was conducting a night patrol in the Jatiagung District area.

"At that time, officers received information regarding one of the yards of a resident's house which is often used as a location for domino card type gambling," he said.

Armed with this information, the police immediately rushed to investigate and managed to identify the place.

Furthermore, on Saturday 1 April 2023 at around 01.00 AM, Tekab 308 Presisi Polres South Lampung led by Ipda Heru Sandi Susilo carried out a raid on a gazebo behind the house belonging to one of the perpetrators named Sutrisno in Purwotani Village, Jati Agung District.

"The four perpetrators were caught red-handed gambling on a domino type card and cash worth IDR 5.3 million was found," he said.

Then, the police took Sutrisno, the owner of the house, Sujarno, a resident of Sendang Anom Village, Sekampung District, East Lampung, and Jamaludin from Purworejo Village, Pasir Sakti District, East Lampung, and Surono from Karangrejo Village, Jati Agung District, to the South Lampung Police Headquarters.

In addition, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of 13 sets of used and unused domino cards at the crime scene and IDR 5,300,000 in cash.

"The perpetrators are suspected of violating Article 303 of the Criminal Code, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 5 years," he concluded. (*)
