Police Disband Illegal Racing Arena in South Lampung Indonesia

Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The Jati Agung sector police, South Lampung Police disbanded the illegal racing arena and arrested 4 youths along with 3 modified motorbikes.

the head of the Jati Agung sector police, Iptu Mustolih said, the police took action to disperse illegal racing during patrols on Sunday 2 April 2023, around 05.00 AM.

"The raid was carried out on a straight road to the border rice fields between Rejomulyo Village, Jati Agung District and Suka Damai Village, Natar District," said the sector police chief, representing the resort police chief AKBP Edwin, when confirmed, Sunday 2 April 2023 afternoon.

Mustolih continued, the police received information that the location was often used as a hangout and illegal racing place.

"After we checked, it turned out that it was true that there were hundreds of two-wheeled vehicles on either side of the road and some were on tracks or wild races," he continued.

Furthermore, the police took action by securing several motorbikes and dispersing the crowd of youths.

"There were three motorbikes and 4 young people that we secured to the Jati Agung Police Headquarters for guidance," said the Police Chief.

Mustolih appealed to the public to help the police give understanding to children so they don't carry out illegal racing, sarong wars and motorcycle gangs.

"Because this was very troubling and dangerous for our own children, including for road users who were passing by at that time. Please inform us again, if there are more treks," he said.

One of the residents of Rejomulyo Village, Sukiman, said he was happy with the police action to break up illegal racing.

"I'm glad it's disbanded, sir, people are far away, not residents here. I support the police in curbing illegal racing, I'm sorry for the passing cars," Sukiman said briefly. (*)
