Lampung Provincial Government Employee Salaries Cut 2.5 Percent for Mandatory Charity
Kupastuntas.co, Lampung English - The salaries of state civil servants within the Lampung Provincial Government will be cut by 2.5 percent which will be used for payment of mandatory charity on all types of assets.
Assistant III for General Administration of the Lampung Provincial Government, Senen Mustakim explained, if the deduction will be made by Bank Lampung which will then be handed over to the National Amil Zakat Agency.
"The law on mandatory charity is 2.5 percent of assets or income, so the value for each State Civil Apparatus is different according to their salary. But what is clear is that we will automatically deduct the salary of State Civil Apparatuses for mandatory charity every month," said Senen, when asked statement, Friday 31 March 2023.
He explained that later the mandatory charity that has been collected will be given to the National Amil Zakat Agency which will then be distributed to eight asnaf or recipients. Among them are the poor, the poor, the amil, the converts, riqab, gharimin, fisabilillah and ibnu sabil.
"Because later the salary deductions collected by Bank Lampung will be handed over to the National Amil Zakat Agency so that the money can be managed and distributed for the benefit of the people in need," he said.
Senen, however, has not been able to confirm how much mandatory charity that can be collected from the State Civil Apparatuses. This is because his party will do the calculation and data collection first.
"For our target, we still have data on the number of State Civil Apparatuses because there are those who are retired, we are still calculating the potential value of the money that comes from the salary deductions for this State Civil Apparatus. Hopefully it will be useful for people in need through the National Amil Zakat Agency," he concluded. (*)
