Metro Police Arrest 17 Dealers and Confiscate 3,705 Dangerous Drugs

The Head of the Metro Police, AKBP Heri Sulistyo Nugroho, through the Head of the IPTU Narcotics Unit AE Siregar explained, the disclosure was part of the Metro Police's commitment to creating an educational city that is clean from narcotics and dangerous drugs.
"In the last year, the operation to chase dangerous drug dealers in Metro has been increasingly fruitful. It was recorded that we managed to secure 17 dealers with thousands of pieces of evidence," AE Siregar told Kupastuntas.co, Sunday, March 26, 2023.
AE Siregar explained that the 17 dealers were arrested in an operation that was carried out in less than a year. During the arrests of dozens of dealers, 3,705 items of various types of dangerous drugs were secured.
"The arrests started from January 1, 2022 to March 26, 2023. So we secured the 17 people, all of whom were illegal drug dealers. The Metro Police Narcotics Unit seized evidence of various types of dangerous drugs totaling 3,705 items," he said.
Kasat emphasized that the disclosure of the perpetrators of dangerous drug dealers in the Metro would continue. The target is that the practice of trafficking and abuse of illegal drugs in Bumi Sai Wawai can be drastically reduced.
"So our commitment to eradicating dangerous drug abuse in Metro starts with disclosing the dealers. We ask for support from the community to be able to cooperate in eradicating the distribution of dangerous drugs in this city," he said.
He said that the disclosure of dangerous drug dealers was the focus of the Metro Police to save the younger generation from the dangers of drugs. As a result, it can cause addiction to the point of being most worried about is death.
"Disclosing the perpetrators of dealers and abuse of this dangerous drug is our focus, because it has a very negative impact if it is consumed without a doctor's advice, let alone consumed by teenagers and students," he explained.
"The impact can lead to addiction. Then, use can cause side effects in the form of nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness and headaches. In fact, at worst, addiction to drugs included in this G list can increase the risk of decreased function. brain, to death," he added.
Kasat explained that the common reason teenagers consume dangerous drugs is because they are cheap. With school pocket money, students can buy them from dealers.
"Drugs of this type are highly idolized by consumers because they are cheap. With a capital of less than IDR 10,000, users can already consume this dangerous drug. And this is very worrying if consumed continuously, because it can damage the nervous system in the brain. human," he explained.
AE Siregar also hopes for support from the community so that the practice of drug abuse and dangerous drugs in Metro City can be reduced and eliminated.
"This disclosure is not enough to end here, we will continue to try to uncover the entire network of dangerous drug dealers and narcotics in Metro.
