Kupastuntas.co, Pringsewu - A Toyota Land Cruiser Hardtop car accident with a Honda Vario motorbike on Jalan Lintas Barat Deso Sidoharjo, Pringsewu District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province caused Azki Raihon Nafis (14) a junior high school student to have a broken leg, Thursday (23/3/2023) around at 17.15 PM.

As a result of the accident, Azki's right leg was severed. The accident incident was captured on video by one of the residents at the scene and went viral on the WhatsApp group.

The short 13-second video shows the wreckage from the accident and a young man in a sitting position crying with his mouth covered in blood and showing the severed part of his right leg. While the pieces of his leg were seen not far from the victim's position.

Head of the Pringsewu Resort Police Traffic Unit AKP Khoirul Bahri confirmed the accident. According to him, the accident involved a white Honda Vario motorbike with police number B 4734 NDV driven by Azki Raihon Nafis (14), a resident of West Pringsewu Village, with a Toyota Land Cruiser Hardtop with Police number BE 1099 UN driven by Suswanto (50), a resident of East Pringsewu Village.

"The accident that went viral in the video actually happened, now it's being handled by the Pringsewu Resort Police Traffic Unit," said Khoirul Bahri, Friday (24/3/2023).

According to AKP Khoirul, the chronology of the accident began when the Honda Vario motorcycle driven by Azki was traveling from Pringsewu to Gadingrejo.

While crossing the scene of the crime, it is suspected that Azki was not focused, so his motorbike traveled to the center past the center line of the road marking, then collided with a Toyota Hardtop that was traveling from the opposite direction.

"Azki suffered serious injuries from breaking off his right leg and was immediately rushed to Mitra Husada Hospital, while the driver of the Hardtop vehicle was not injured," he explained.

After the incident, AKP Khoirul requested that parents take an active role in supervising and preventing their children under the age of 17 from driving a vehicle, because they do not yet have stability and do not have competence and have passed the test in driving a vehicle and have not been able to control their emotions. which has the potential to cause traffic accidents.
