Priorities of Lampung Regional Expenditure Budget 2023 Economic and Infrastructure Recovery

For regional revenues of IDR 7.41 trillion, originating from regional original revenues of IDR 4.14 trillion, transfer revenues of IDR 3.25 trillion, and other legal income of IDR 14.6 billion.
The Governor of Lampung, Arinal Djunaidi said, the 2023 Regional Expenditure Budget is still focused on economic recovery after the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic and repair of road infrastructure belonging to the Government of Lampung province.
"In accordance with the designation of our Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget in 2023 we will still focus on economic recovery and infrastructure improvements. Because if the infrastructure is good and good, this can drive the community's economy," said Arinal, when questioned, Sunday 19 March 2023.
According to him, the road infrastructure belonging to the Lampung provincial government that will be repaired this year is approximately 99 sections with a length of up to 200 kilometers and the budget prepared is approximately IDR 676 billion.
"The management of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget must be productive and efficient so that at the end of the year the money runs out but for the benefit of the community. At the beginning of the year, arrangements must also be made so that work programs can run well," he continued.
On this occasion, he also explained that the Lampung provincial government is involved in providing supervision to district/city governments, so that all can absorb the Regional Expenditure Budget optimally.
"The Provincial Government of Lampung has received awards from the central government several times regarding the good uptake of the Regional Expenditure Budget. We also carry out supervision by the Inspectorate and Bakuda. Later, the good ones will be given awards," he explained.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of Commission III of the Regional People's Legislative Assembly for Lampung Province, Norisiman Subing explained, to maximize the absorption of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget, coordination must be carried out from the beginning of the year.
"Before the Regional Expenditure Budget was passed, the Regional Government had coordinated. So that during the current year the budget has started to be absorbed. However, this must also be in line with existing revenues," he explained.
He also hopes that the Lampung provincial government can maximize the existence of neglected assets so that it can increase local revenue.
"As in PKOR, if it is managed properly and optimally, it can get Regional Original Income and if the Regional Original Income is large, absorption can also be maximized and the impact on society will be greater," he explained. (*)
