Kupastuntas.co, South Lampung - A fatal accident occurred on Lintas Sumatra road, South Lampung, and Lintas Barat road, West Lampung Indonesia, resulting in four deaths and 2 seriously injured.

The first accident occurred in Way Lubuk Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung Regency involving a black Toyota Avanza Veloz vehicle with plate number BE-1042-DH driven by 62-year-old Iwan Burhanudin crashing into three motorbikes at once, namely a white Yamaha Mio with number A-5408-BZ Honda Beat red color number BE-4160-EN and black Honda Vario number B-6010-GVI.

The accident occurred on Saturday 25 February 2023 around 15.00 PM. In this accident, initially there were only two victims who died on behalf of Merti Rahma Wulandari, 17 years old and her father, Rahmat, 53 years old, from Jembat Besi Hamlet, Gunung Terang Village, Kalianda District.

And three other victims who were seriously injured, were rushed to Bob Bazar Kalianda Hospital, namely Asep Ely Sunandar 31 years, Moh. Ery Syarif is 28 years old and Indah Sekar Arum is 22 years old.

However, on Saturday night, the victim Asep Eli Sunandar from Tanjung Sari Village, Palas District, was declared dead. Meanwhile, two seriously injured victims were referred to Graha Husada Hospital, Bandar Lampung.

Head of South Lampung Police Traffic Unit, AKP Jonniver Yolandra said, the accident occurred allegedly because the Toyota Avanza Veloz driver, Burhanudin lost control while driving from Bandar Lampung to Bakauheni and crashed into three motorcycles that were traveling side by side from the opposite direction.

"The Avanza driver lost control while driving from Bandar Lampung towards Bakauheni. Then the Avanza hit three motorcycles that were traveling in parallel from the opposite direction," said Jonniver, Sunday 26 February 2023.

He revealed that he was still asking for information from a number of witnesses at the scene of the incident and the Avanza driver to find the true light on what happened.

"In the accident there were two victims who died, namely MR (Merti Rahma) student and R (Rahmat)," said Jonniver.

In addition, there were 3 other victims who were seriously injured and are still being treated in intensive care at Bob Bazar Kalianda Hospital.

"For 1 person who is unconscious (critical), 1 person is conscious and the information is that he wants to have surgery on his right ankle. Then, 1 person who is conscious has broken his right leg," he explained.

He explained, As a result of the accident, the Avanza car was damaged from the bumper to the hood. And three motorbikes were badly damaged.

The video of the accident has gone viral on social media. In the video, four men can be seen lifting a female victim who is still wearing a scout school uniform. Then the victim was raised in the pickup truck.

Meanwhile, Head of Administrative Section of the Bob Bazar Kalianda Regional Hospital, Yusbambang said, one seriously injured victim named Asep Eli Sunandar from Tanjung Sari Village, Palas District died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

"Asep died in the HCU room at around 12 pm (Saturday). The victim suffered serious head injuries," said Yusbambang, Sunday (26/2/23).

Yusbambang explained, for the two other seriously injured victims, namely Moh. Eri Syarif and Indah Sekar have been referred to Graha Husada Hospital, Bandar Lampung.

The second accident occurred on Jalan Lintas Barat Pekon (Village) Gunung Sugih, Balik Bukit District, Lambar, Sunday (26/2) involving trucks and motorbikes.

In this accident, a student motorbike rider, Hakim Arofik (18), a resident of Bumi Hantatai Village, Bandar Negeri Suoh District, died at the scene after crashing into a truck that was parked on the shoulder of the road.

The victim allegedly lost control while driving his motorcycle and crashed into a parked truck.

West Lampung Head Chief Police, AKBP Heri Sugeng Priyantho through Invisible Then Iptu David Pulner said, the accident started when the two-wheeled vehicle type Revo number BE-3670-SAK driven by Hakim Arofik drove from Liwa towards Sekuting at high speed.

"While crossing the scene, the victim lost control and hit the back of truck number BE-8029-MZ which was parked belonging to Hari Widodo, a resident of Pasar Liwa Village, Balik Bukit District," said David, Sunday (26/2).

David revealed, the accident occurred at around 05.30 WIB. The motorbike rider was rushed to the Alimudin Umar Hospital, but his life could not be saved due to a serious head injury.
