Kupastuntas.co, South Lampung - The Drug Investigation Unit of the South Lampung Police arrested 20-year-old Bastian Bukit when he was about to deliver two packages of cannabis-type narcotics to Java Island.

South Lampung Police Narcotics Unit Head, AKP Andri Gustami explained, the perpetrators were arrested last Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at around 04.30 WIB.

"At that time, the police were conducting an inspection of the passengers of the Simpati Star bus number BL 7817 AA in the Seaport Interdection area of Bakauheni Port," Andri said when confirmed. Friday, 24 February 2023.

From there, a member of the South Lampung Police Narcotics Research Unit, who finished checking the passengers, then checked the passengers' belongings in the trunk.

"Officers found a bag containing two packages suspected of cannabis-type narcotics, belonging to a passenger on behalf of Bastian Bukit," he said.

The perpetrator Bastian Bukit, who is still a student, comes from Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City, North Sumatra.

"During interrogation, the suspect admitted that the package would be delivered to Java Island," explained Andri.

Furthermore, the suspect along with evidence in the form of two packages of cannabis narcotics were taken to the South Lampung Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.

"The suspect is subject to Article 111 and Article 114 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics," said Andri. (*)
